The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for driving growth in Assets under management, revenue, and profits by developing and executing on the investment management organization's annual, long-term business, and financial results and overseeing the continued development, maintenance and execution of a successful investment process. The successful candidate will work with the Chairman, Board of Directors and Advisors.


Major Responsibilities:


* 20% - Strategic Vision and Execution

  • Responsible for driving the Bank's strategy to align with the Chairman and Board's vision.
  • Sets and executes strategy, including mergers and acquisitions, new products, new markets and other organic growth initiatives. Active participant of and contributor to the Wealth Markets Operating Committee, New Products Committee, and Compensation Committee.


* 30% - Investment Process, Strategy, and Risk Management

  • Ensure that all aspects of the Bank's activities obtain maximum profits commensurate with the best interest of shareholders, customers, employees, and the public.
  • Strategic planning and resource allocation - manage long-term development projects across the Bank including relevant short-term requests.
  • Responsible for overall profitability of business line, new product development, pricing, risk management, compliance, specialized training, relevant dedicated technology, operational support, and business financial reporting of P&L and related metrics. 


* 20% - Sales and Partnership 

  • The CEO is the public face of the company and works closely with bank business unit managers to ensure alignment between Capital Management and bank strategies.  
  • Provide executive leadership to the Bank's rapidly expanding team.
  • Define brand values and the vision.
  • Lead the Bank's relationships with key decision makers in the relevant regulatory entities.
  • Responsible for overseeing sales and relationship management across all investment products and capabilities, including new client acquisition, and for maintaining high client retention.


* 20% - Organizational Administration

  • Responsible for the overall performance and people management of the organization. Assesses key organizational and staffing issues and addresses them accordingly by providing effective intervention. 
  • Manages recruitment, training, and motivation of registered representatives as well as professionals in product development and operations. 
  • Responsible for relationships with regulators, professional and client communities, vendor relations, as well as the relationship with its subsidiaries
  • All Executive Managers for the Bank report to the Chief Executive Officer and you will be directly responsible for attaining all established operational and financial goals.
  • Provide reports to the Board of Directors as the highest ranking official of the Bank.



* 10% - Risk Management

  • Responsibility for all fiduciary and SEC compliance requirements. Actively ensure compliance with the Bank's Code of Ethics. 
  • Participate in any required corporate and business line training in these areas.
  • Ensure the Bank meets the regulations with regards to the policies and procedures of the Central Bank.


Qualifications


  • Requires 15 years+ experience in wealth and institutional investment sales and sales management oversight.
  • Portfolio management or other meaningful investment management experience preferred.
  • Graduate degree or CFA preferred. 


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

  • This role requires someone with proven leadership skills from an executive position in the investment management industry or Well respected Retail or Commercial Bank
  • Knowledge and expertise in executive management, wealth management and institutional markets, sales and relationship management, people management, and administration are required.
  • The CEO must have a proven track record in external recruiting and the effective management and development of employees; as well as a demonstrated long-term success in sales and sales-management.
  • The CEO must possess a strategic orientation with the ability to articulate the business group's mission, goals and priorities within the context of the Bank's mission.
  • Have an exceptional track record of setting and executing a business strategy / vision.
  • Demonstrate a dynamic, entrepreneurial approach to drive the business forward.
  • Be technically proficient - have a good understanding of relevant regulatory issues
  • This role requires strong leadership and partnership skills that enable effective collaborate with executive management across multiple functions and disciplines across the Bank in order to meet the Bank's business needs; and the ability to effectively work with the Board of Directors, major high net worth and institutional clients, industry organizations, and other key external parties.

Job Description

As the Director , Human Resources Business Partner you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for the management and delivery of the banks HR and people strategy. This is a truly generalist role where you will have full ownership for all strategic and operational people issues. Wider account-abilities will include:

  • Implementation of a competitive remuneration, bonus and benefits scheme.
  • Development of a engaging and commercial culture that meets the requirements of a regulated banking business.
  • Act the lead for all communications and meetings.
  • Develop and implement an inspiring recruitment and resourcing strategy that will support the banks in the Singapore-Across the Asia Pacific Region and  growth plans.

Operational planning and management

  • Develop an operational plan and operating manuals which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction for our company in Hongkong
  • Ensure that the operation of our company in Hongkong meets the expectations of its clients, Board and Investors
  • Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day investment/sales activities and operation of our company in Hongkong
  • Draft policies for the approval of CEO or and prepare procedures to implement the company policies; review existing policies on an annual basis and recommend changes to CEO as appropriate
  • Ensure that personnel, client, investors files are securely stored and privacy/confidentiality is maintained



Sale operation and Business Development

  • Responsible for strategy, setting profit-based sales targets, quotas, sales forecasting, demand management and the writing and execution of a sales plan.
  • Generate business opportunities by meeting clients of different market segments.
  • Expand sales channels targeting both high net-worth and institutional clients
  • Cross selling of company products including Forex, Equities and Money Lending etc. and arrange regular clients calls and visits to increase sales volume



Human resources planning and management

  • Determine staffing requirements for company management and program delivery
  • Oversee the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development of job description for our company in Hongkong
  • Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations
  • Recruit, interview and select staff that have the right technical and personal abilities to help further the company's mission
  • Ensure that all staff receives an orientation to the company and that appropriate training is provided to maintain the fit and proper criteria
  • Implement a performance management process for all staff which includes monitoring the performance of staff on an on-going basis and conducting an annual performance review
  • Coach and mentor staff as appropriate to improve performance
  • Discipline staff when necessary using appropriate techniques; release staff when necessary using appropriate and legally defensible procedures



Financial planning and management

  • Work with CEO to prepare a comprehensive budget
  • Research funding sources, oversee the development of fund raising plans and write funding proposals to increase the funds for our company in Hongkong
  • Participate in fundraising activities as appropriate in need basis
  • Approve expenditures within the authority delegated by the Board
  • Ensure that sound bookkeeping and accounting procedures are followed
  • Administer the funds of the our company in Hongkong according to the approved budget and monitor the monthly cash flow of the company
  • Provide the CEO with comprehensive, regular reports on the revenues and expenditure of the our company in Hongkong
  • Ensure that our company in Hongkong complies with all legislation covering taxation and withholding payments



Risk and Compliance management

  • Identify and evaluate the risks to the Hongkong office’s people (clients, staff, management), property, finances, goodwill, and image and implement measures to control risks
  • Ensure that the company in Hongkong carries appropriate and adequate insurance coverage
  • Ensure that local staff understand the terms, conditions and limitations of the insurance coverage
  • Compliance assurance/internal audit to ensure controls and procedures are effective




Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • University degree or above in business management or related field
  • A minimum of 12+ years of relevant working experience, at least 7 years’ of which must be in the capacity of Director of Sales and/or Country Manager with proven sales management track record for Financial Institutions
  • Proven managerial abilities in strategic planning, budgeting and profit and loss analysis
  • Excellent leadership ability to lead, inspire and motivate the sales & marketing team and maintain daily smooth operation
